Digital Legacy, Mourning, and Posthumous Curation in the Digital Age

A research-driven design project exploring how digital traces reshape death, mourning, and personal legacy. The thesis proposes Subjective Posthumous Curation—a framework for deciding what remains, what disappears, and how we are remembered after death. RE·POSE translates this framework into a physical archiving system that structures the preservation, access, and eventual release of digital memories.

Thesis Publication
A research-driven publication exploring death, memory, and digital legacy in the contemporary world. Through critical inquiry and visual exploration, the book develops the conceptual framework of Subjective Posthumous Curation.

RE·POSE — Personal Archive & Final Protocol
RE·POSE translates Subjective Posthumous Curation into a tangible archiving system through the curation of my own digital memories. The protocol brings together personal documentation, preservation, access, and eventual disposal, exploring how individuals can shape what remains of their digital lives after death.

How we are remembered—and when and how we are forgotten—should be ours to decide, not technology’s or anyone else’s.
